Spain Study Visa Application Process 🛂

1. Visa Application Forms 📝

Complete two national visa application forms, signed by the applicant. Attach two recent passport-sized photos (in color with a white background).

2. Visa Fees Payment 💰

The visa fees must be paid via demand draft in favor of the Consulate General of Spain, Mumbai.

3. Valid Passport 🛂

Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your studies (minimum 1 year). Include photocopies of all passport pages.

4. Admission Letter 📄

Provide an admission letter from an authorized educational center in Spain. This letter should confirm your enrollment in a full-time study program, research, training, or volunteer activities. Ensure that a photocopy of the same is submitted.

5. Proof of Accommodation 🏨

Submit documentation that confirms your accommodation in Spain during your stay. Include the address and a photocopy of the proof.

6. Previous Academic Qualifications 🎓

Provide copies of your previous academic qualifications.

7. Proof of Work Experience 💼

If applicable, submit proof of your work experience.

8. Financial Proof 💵

Submit evidence of financial means, such as:

• Bank statements of the sponsor for the last six months, duly signed and stamped by the bank.
• Income Tax Returns (ITRs) of the sponsor for the last three years.
• Payslips of the sponsor for the last six months.

For scholarships, provide documentation justifying the scholarship amount. In other cases, submit proof of financial support from family members, along with a letter of guarantee/affidavit of support.

9. Police Clearance Certificate 🛡️

For stays over 180 days, submit a Police Clearance Certificate, translated into Spanish and legalized, issued by the Regional Passport Office with the Apostille of Hague stamp.

10. Medical Certificate 🏥

For stays over 180 days, provide a medical certificate stating: “the applicant is not suffering from any disease that can have repercussions on public health in accordance with the International Sanitary Act 2005.” The certificate must be translated into Spanish and a photocopy submitted.

11. Medical Insurance 🩺

Submit a medical insurance policy from an authorized insurer in Spain, covering medical expenses and repatriation for the entire period of your stay.

12. Minors Traveling Alone or with One Parent 👶

If the applicant is a minor, provide:

• A notarized authorization from parents or guardians, detailing the purpose of travel, the educational center, and the guardian in Spain.
• A notarized declaration from the guardian in Spain, confirming responsibility for the minor during the stay.
• A Certificate from Registro Central de Delincuentes Sexuales issued by the Ministry of Justice.

13. Power of Attorney 📜

If a representative is submitting the application, include a power of attorney and a photocopy of the same.

Additional Requirements and Observations 🔍

• Translations: Ensure all documents (except passports) are translated into Spanish and legalized.
• Photocopies: For each original document, submit a photocopy after legalization.
• Interviews: The Consulate General may require a personal interview at any stage of the visa application process.
